Be Careful What You Wish For

During a staff meeting on Wednesday, I mentioned that I've always wished I could experience an earthquake. Well, last night I got my wish. Apparently an earthquake centered in Illinois rippled through much of the midwest this morning at 5:37 am. I thought I was half-dreaming when it woke me up, but my suspicions were confirmed on my way to work as I was listening to the news on npr. In less than two years here in Louisville, we've experienced both a tornado and an earthquake!
