My uncle, Frank Page, secured the presidency of the SBC yesterday, garnering slightly over 50% of the vote. He beat down Jerry Sutton and Ronnie Floyd, both of whom received around 24% of the vote. Floyd was the highly touted candidate, put foward by the 'big names' of the SBC. Even the current edition of Falwell's National Liberty Journal had a blurb by seminary president E. Caner stating that Floyd (an LU trustee) is going to make a great SBC pres. (Oh yeah, Caner's article on the front page is "Predestined not to be a Hyper-Calvinist".....sad stuff)
So, as I prepare to go back to the promised land of Louisville (SBTS), I am plotting the overthrow of Moore, Mohler, and anyone else in a position of prominence. I mean, let's be real honest...my uncle is el presidente del SBC!
